Hail protection with TWILINE

Hail events primarily affect external venetian blinds and awnings. This protection is fully automated with the TWILINE "Z5" web server control center: The "Hail protection - simply automatic" service provides location-based hail warnings. The Z5 evaluates these messages and automatically moves affected blinds to the protective position (up). Once the all-clear has been given, the Z5 web server restores the previously defined blind position.

The Z5 web server takes over the decision & execution and the API integration makes a separate signal box superfluous.

For integrators, the effort is reduced to two steps:

1) Registration of the building with the "Hail protection - simply automatic" service (serial number)

2) Set up in the xTool (alarm → open/continuous signal command) Benefits in a nutshell:

- clear logic via xTool
- retrofit-compatible, provided blinds operate via TWILINE

Procedure during operation:

1) Service reports hail warning

2) Z5 opens blinds automatically

3) Thunderstorm passes through

4) Service gives the all-clear

5) Z5 restores defined position
